Vintage Technology You still Use?
Do any of you guys still use old vintage technology; such as turntables, walkmans, or cassette decks? If so, what do you still have a use for and why?
I still love listening to records. There's just something about the pops and the sound of a record that I like. I also think the music sounds more appealing to me on vinyl.

Work related, I just had to go buy a dot matrix printer, because we use a 4 part form. Man I thought we could get rid of those things... and same with faxes.

I still use the same alarm clock that I used in college in 1980. It's a trooper.

Re: Vintage Technology You still Use?
I found one off of Ebay a few years ago for an ex. She said she wanted the old school Nintendo, and low and behold, she couldn't believe that I actually found one with several of the games she wanted. Kind of wished I could have bought that thing for myself!

Well, sometimes you'll have a company in which the IT department refuses to upgrade, because if it's not broke, don't fix it! We (my IT department) are kind of like that. When I first got hired, we had an in house program that was DOS based. (I got hired in 2005.) We finally moved on from that, but we still use an old version of Novell Netware, like version 3.XX. It still works just fine though.
