Reggie McGrew
While we have discussed many of the pro's and con's relative to our Defensive Line, there is one player we haven't talked very much about, and that's Reggie McGrew. He was a first round draft choice of the 49ers back in 2000. Does anyone know much about him,or have followed his career since coming into the NFL? Will he be able to help us at all, or is he just another 1st round bust here to serve as Training Camp fodder? His brief NFL stats are not very encouraging, but maybe someone knows something that I dont.

he play for......
Jacksonville for a time or maybe just on thier roster in perseason? He was SF's first pick in 99 as the 24th over all pick. There was a lot of talk that he was the real deal but he never did well for the 49ers as he had done in Florida.

Reggie McGrew was a total flop as a 49er and he got a lot of flack for his lack of work ethic, but if he's still in the league that must mean he's working hard and trying to get better. He might be a pleasant surprise if Gibbs and Gregg Williams can motivate him. He's a load and he has talent.

And the worse part is he probably thinks that he is under paid. Must be nice to have such talent, do little, and make so much.
