Lb?
Particularly, in the middle. Are we entering the pre-season w/ Barrow as the starter? Is this something we are going to address in the Draft/FA? Are we going to move someone from a different position to fill this spot? Is anyone listening to me?????

Re: Lb?
Rumor is we are moving Marshall to MLB. I don;t agree with it considering he is smaller then ST. Don;t sleep on Clifton Smith, he WILL be this year's Pierce.

Re: Lb?
I believe the coaching staff has said they are prepared to move LeMar Marshall back to his natural spot and start him at MLB

Re: Lb?
If Marshall is actually better as a mlb like it's been hinted at, that's pretty kewl to me, because he did a pretty good job filling in for a consistent
pro-bowler. Anyone know if anybody has some film clips of some of the mlbs in the draft this year? |

Re: Lb?
I'm sure whoever is inserted will do fine. I just didn't hear anything about it and was afraid we'd have to play that garbage we "aquired" from NYG.

Re: Lb?
I think he WAS, but I think that tendonitis is tough to get over.

Re: Lb?
The current situation at MLB is worrysome...
Barrow is capable when healthy. I don't think he will or can stay healthy. Any thoughts on going to a 3-4 defense with Lavar, Barrow Marshall and washington on the run and then replacing Barrow with Clifton Smith on passing downs... Just a thought...Don't laugh too hard. |

Re: Lb?
I have the same kind of patellar tendonitis that Barrow has and I haven't been able to play basketball for about a year and a half now. It's real tough to get past. Of course, he has the whole Redskins training staff helping him and I have, well, nothing.
To answer your question, 2BIG, a 3-4 is intriguing, but its not really GW's kind of thing. Also, we really lack a big NT to take on blocks. Our LB corps is fit for it, but the DL is really designed for the 4-3. |

Re: Lb?
I think we will be sticking at 4 - 3.
I always have thought the 3 - 4 was the best way to go. I mean it allows you to have another fast player on the feild. You get rid of a slow DT and if you have a pair of stud DE, you are set. A buddy of mine plays D3 football and they run a 3-3-5. They basically have all Sean Taylor type guys at CB and Safety. They all are basically little linebackers and they send a different guy all the time. They blitz someone every play. Speed kills. |

Re: Lb?
Do we even have one stud DE let alone two? . The 3-4 is becoming popular because of the success it is having in Balt, NE and this is a copy cat leuge . The thing is you need the right personel to run a 3-4 properly especially against the run and right now for the Skins I think stickng with the 4-3 base as that is how our guys are best suited it gives us good flexibility and with Williams there the packages can still be mixed up and innovative.
As to the MLB possition I think that is going to be the bigest battle in TC that and CB behind Springs. I think if Barrow is back in good condition but we have some good backups here but we do need to replenish that pool. |

Re: Lb?
Who really knows? It's all speculation. I'm confident Williams has a plan, but is it that easy to just plug anyone in? Does it always work?
