Hot Yoga Pants
I'm in the mood to post today which is probably a surprise to most of you since as you can see that I have only 500 post's in almost 10 years, anyway I'm sure by now you have all seen the Drew Breese Tide commercial with his wife’s hot yoga pants.
The first time I seen it I wasn’t really paying attention and I thought he said hot “yogurt” pants, implying she had attracted an STD or something. So I rewound it on my DVR to watch it back and realized he said Yoga, not yogurt, but what really struck me was his reaction when she threw them at him. He was disgusted. I know if my wife threw her hot yoga pants at me my first reaction would be to put them to my face and inhale deeply. But I digress; Is Hot Yoga an actual thing? Like an actual type of yoga? I was driving past a gym the other day and there was a sign in the window advertising “Hot Yoga”! I can’t imagine doing yoga to the point of breaking a sweat but who knows. |

Re: Hot Yoga Pants
Hatha yoga (which is what most people in the West mean by "yoga") is an ancient meditation practice when done right. In India there also is a practice of the "five fires" meditation, in which one builds four fires at the cardinal points and one in the middle, and then one meditates in the midst of the fires on a hot, sunny day. This practice is to develop tapas, or spiritual heat. Hot yoga combines these two practices.

Re: Hot Yoga Pants
Herein lies the problem.
It is difficult to ascertain the best location (without compromising the Cardinal Point....things) to locate the cooler full of cold beer with which to quench the Spiritual Heat......... But thanx anyway....very informative
