1 year, $2 mil. Prove it, Sharpton.

He got a lot more playing time last year and wasn't terrible. He's young and might grow into being a real contributor.

Darryl Sharpton, ILB for the Houston Texans at NFL.com

decent guy, contract is worth UP TO 2mill, it's not a 2mill contract.

Re: Redskins to sign LB Darryl Sharpton

With Robinson, Sharpton, and the new LB we signed day one we actually may have a half decent special teams unit. Now if we can find a returner that would make life easier.

Re: Redskins to sign LB Darryl Sharpton

Unless we draft Skov or if by miracle Mosley falls by the grace of God, expect Sharpton to start day 1 next to Riley. He had 87 tackles 1 INT and 1 Sack in 8 games starting last season for Texans after Cushing went down. Theres highlights of him on HoustonTexans.com you can find. One in which he tackles AP in the open field while AP is trying to juke and stiff arm him.

Also his College highlights from Miami are on Youtube, He has good looking instincts and a thumper, not a lot of top end speed but I spent the last hour or two watching tape of him and he shows potential. Being shoved being brian cushing for 3 years you dont get a ton of opportunities until last year when a injury occurs.

Re: Redskins to sign LB Darryl Sharpton

Here is some recent video of him on the field.

He looked solid when playing his 8 games last year. A lot better then Fletcher looked and faster

Re: Redskins to sign LB Darryl Sharpton

He is related to the Rev. Al Sharpton (they're cousins)

Personal

Although there are some sources stating that Sharpton is the nephew of Al Sharpton,[2] he is Al Sharpton's cousin—his father and Al Sharpton are the children of siblings, and are first cousins.
