Love this pick, good spell to Morris, goodbye Royster, and he can return kicks. Don't know if he will.

Great pick. Roy Helu is a solid 3rd down option, but this guy can be a little something more, methinks. Chris Thompson is a great option too, but can't stay healthy. I wonder what this means for Evan Royster...

Re: Pick 186 Lache Seastrunk

I think Seastrunk can push for the primary backup spot, and Helu is a good 3rd down RB as well. I think Royster is gone. Seastrunk has better vision, speed, and elusiveness than Helu. Only thing he doesn't have is the hands.

apparently he is a bad blocker, and receiver...... 9 receptions, and 10 drops

I still like the pick

I seem to remember people saying this about Alfred Morris as well.

6th rounder, good value if he can catch. CThompson still has a shot as well. I'm fine w this and will wait to see how he does. This may be diff than AMorris pick, since Shanny just has a knack for picking RBs, Gruden/BA haven't proven that yet. But I like the pick, we'll see.

LOL. I recently went back and read the 2012 draft thread where the late round picks were being discussed. There was some speedy RB that everyone was clamoring for in the 6th, and when Morris was picked instead, there was a small uproar. Look how that turned out. Morris is one of the league's elite backs, and that other scrub hasn't done crap.

Edit: "that other scrub" = Chris Polk.

Re: Pick 186 Lache Seastrunk

Very flawed player but such a great value in the 6th round. Has to improve in the passing game before he can get on the field. Doubt we see a ton of him this season. But he can run away from safeties and I can't remember the last Redskins RB that could do that. '05 Portis, maybe?

They dont teach that stuff at Baylor.
Coach him up Jay.

He could be the next Kelvin Bryant.

I have to say, given other needs, I wouldn't have sought this out, but watching his highlights, this kid is always looking for daylight. Daylight might end up being a good nickname for him - he has wheels and enough juice to make guys miss tackles. Looking forward to seeing him compete.

Re: Pick 186 Lache Seastrunk

I saw on the draft reports that his agility was considered top tier but I was blown away watching his highlights.

Re: Pick 186 Lache Seastrunk

his highlights are great...just hoping we can schedule Kansas & Louisianna-Monroe next year.

(I tease, I tease)

he does look like a game breaker and he's patient to let his blocks set up.

Good speed, vision and patience....I like him a lot and I think this does spell the end of Royster as well.
