Titans vs. Skins Positives and Negatives.

Yeeeep. So.

Positives:

The biggest one is.... WE WON everything else is pretty much gravy. But since we're all analyzing and shit.

Other positives:

DJax again - Although he didn't blow up like the last couple of games, the guy can make something out of nothing. He had that amazing sideline grab that ended up getting called back but... I hope he sticks with us for a long time.

Breeland - Again, I think the guy is average so far (and yeah I know he's a rook so you can save that argument), but he had that legit INT. So I hope he continues to develop.

Paul - Had some decent blocks and catches this game.

McCoy - Congratulations son, you're probably our new #2.

Negatives:

Morris - Dude, you've got some serious ball security issues. I know the ground caused the fumble, but you're coughing up the ball, ground caused or not, at least once a game. That needs fixing.

Paulsen - Should probably stick to blocking and NOT catching. He also has ball security issues.

Cousins - No explanation needed.

Re: Titans vs. Skins Positives and Negatives.

Big positive was Gruden making moves with players who obviously weren't getting it done.

negative is that Gruden in his press conference said they didn't plan or talk about the possibility of having to pull Kirk during the week. He said he spent the time trying to make it work for Kirk. Ok, I get that the first week. The second week, you have to be thinking about options. One of the few coaching comments I haven't liked from him.

Positive, even after the defense gave up the go ahead touchdown the team didn't give up. Also the defense played well for many parts of the game, I think they got several 3 and outs, but not positive.

Positive, Amerson/Breeland could be a good tandem for the Skins for a while. Maybe not the shutdown ala Revis, but CB's you can build the defensive backfield around.

Positives:

Garçon
Reed
Forbath
Compton LB
Breeland

Negatives:

ST continue with stupid penalties (league leading)
Defense continues to give up big plays at critical times
Game delay penalties continue

Anyone still wanna get rid of Forbath? 11/12 on the year and now 46/52 (88%) for his career.

I really do like Compton at LB. I haven't seen him be a playmaker yet, but he seems to be flying around on every play. Now we gotta see him in coverage.

Seems like longer kick offs too, or is that still Tress Way? (haven't seen many of the games)

Never really gotten the hate for Cobra Kai, he's been our best field goal kicker in a while and I blame our poor kickoff coverage more on the players not staying in their lanes vs. the way he kicks the ball. Lately he's been knocking them into the back of the endzone though so it hasn't been as big of an issue.

Positive: Frank Kearse

Also, glad we benched Kirk. Sends a good message to everyone.

Negative: Frank Kearse does not play every position. With his energy, we'd be undefeated.

Re: Titans vs. Skins Positives and Negatives.

Positives: a win, Jackson earning his contract, Reed making a contribution

Negatives: a meaningless win (our draft position didn't improve...LOL), Jackson is not going to want to stay with this team, and Reed will probably be injured again this season.

I think people had issues with his kickoffs, not his FG kicking.

I don't have an issue with Gruden staying upbeat and positive with a player through the week. Especially with Kirk's realistic attitude about his performance. Coaches know their players better than we do. Kirk is hard on himself and might need coaches to show confidence in him.

A great example is we are all calling for Moses but obviously the coaches believe Compton is better. That's why we saw him come in for Polumbus.

Colt was a huge unknown to us and a pleasant surprise. I'm guessing there was a reason he started the season as the 3rd string qb rather than the 2nd.

All that being said, I loved his decision making today and the smart way he rushed on a broken play.

Re: Titans vs. Skins Positives and Negatives.

Positive:
C.Mccoy - great poise. Cousins failed to deliver in the 4th quarter and on 3rd downs, but Colt delivered in the 4th & won the game. Note that he was only 1 out of 4 for 3rd downs (3rd-18, 3rd-5, 3-9) and converted at the end with 3rd-2 due to pass interference.

Big picture is that with reps/practice on 1st team, Colt will get better. I don't think he had weapons like DJax, Garcon, Reed when he was on the Browns, and Roberts/Morris aren't bad either. All he needs to to do is get them the ball and not throw it away like Cousins..

My biggest concern with him is that he doesn't have great leg strength. He may luck into another 50 yarder, but that's his limit as far as I can tell. It's nice ot have a real punter though. Where did this guy come from?

Yes the kickoffs are the issue,I would have dropped Forbath like a hot potato and signed Prater when we had the chance.
Seems like every team in the league has a kicker that boots it in the endzone every kickoff but us.
I didnt go back any further, but over the last 3 games on 13 kickoffs{not counting the onside kick}he's had 6 touchbacks, with the other teams getting the ball at 26,30,31,30,35,29,and 44 yard line.Meanwhile were starting our drives from the 20 or worse
