Nightmare About The '16 Season! :(

No more Tequila Sunrises for me! Last night, I had this dream that I was all excited about the new 2016 season. In my dream, the 'skins were actually opening the season against....you guessed it....the Cleveland Browns! The Redskins were heavily favored to win (of course), and of course, RGIII is starting for the Browns. What was really strange in this dream was that the Browns were playing in this really weird looking football stadium, because apparently they were having a new stadium being built. The funny thing is that this stadium only had bleachers on one side. There was absolutely nothing on the other side nor any seats behind the endzones. Come to think about it, it's probably a proper football stadium to hold all the Browns fans who attend games, LOL!

Anyway, I was trying to watch the game, but I had a lot of family over and they kept changing the channel. So, I would go online trying to find out what the score was. When I finally got the remote, I turned on the game, and saw Kirk Cousins getting the ball knocked out of his hands. The 'skins had just turned the ball over and were down 21-0. RGIII came in and looked like his 2012 self. The 'skins couldn't contain him as he scrambled for about 25 yards and eventually punched it in for another TD. In my dream, I started having that sinking feeling I always get when I know the game is getting out of hand and NOT in our favor. I kept thinking of how embarrassed I was going to feel that our former #1 pick almost single-handedly beat his former team. Although I had that little voice in the back of my head that kept saying, "Remember the Tampa game, remember the Tampa game!" But of course, before I could dream up a great comeback, the alarm went off and it was time for me to get up and get ready for work!

Just thought I would share! I have no idea where that dream came from! Usually you can always point it back to something you last talked about or watched on TV, but it was neither in my case. Just a weird random nightmare! I know in reality that the 'skins will probably beat the Browns and it's very likely RGIII doesn't even start in the game!

You're either tripping balls or you've just had a premonition about how the game will go. For our sake I hope it's the former.

Me too! I really have some fucked up dreams when I drink tequila. That's why I hardly ever drink anymore!

Id say don't stop drinking, but increase your tequila consumption. Is there a way you can drink your way through the entire 16 game schedule through dreams? This is a personal challenge...how are we gonna do opening night against the Steelers? Grab a fifth of pepe lopez or el toro tonight and report back here tomorrow

If I drink too much I might even be able to include preseason at no additional cost!

LOL! Normally I don't either. Seriously, I didn't have much last night. My wife had bought me one of those pre-mixed margaritas from the ABC store on Friday afternoon, and it wasn't until last night did I get to have any of it. We had to take our toddler to the hospital Friday night and was there until yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. So, probably the mixture of that event and a couple "red solo cups" of the mix probably made for the interesting dream. Plus, I had to get up in the middle of the night to take care of him and always seem to have the weirdest dreams when I have interrupted sleep. Normally I don't remember them, but since this was a Redskins dream, I had to share it. It was quite disturbing, but I wonder if in the back of a lot our minds, if we share some sort of doubt that our team hasn't turned the corner? Even despite all the good stuff Scot McCloughan has done for us, I must still have it in my subconscious that it's all a mirage, ala 2012.

That's where the pain begins and it only gets worse from there...

Re: Nightmare About The '16 Season! :(

I am concerned a bit too about how RG3 will look as a brown, and how he will look if/when he plays against us, but I think my concerns for now are unwarranted.

There is no guarantee RG3 opens the season as the starter for the browns, although he is expected to. I will for once trust the opinion of the anonymous NFL GM's and coaches who felt that RG3's best days were behind him following his terrible string of injuries.

I think worst case for the browns RG3 is a guy who can come in and not lose the game provided everything else is working. Best case he is a serviceable but short-term solution at QB. Most likely scenario is the browns are still the browns and even if RG3 somehow experiences a miracle rebirth in Cleveland, he won't be enough to save the franchise. I'm not even a Browns supporter in the least, but i think only a foolish Browns fan believes that RG3 is the future...

I think it would be cool if rg3 played well for the Browns. I wouldn't feel like we did the wrong thing...but if I was the Broncos, jets, or Cowboys I'd feel really dumb because they all have major qb issues and could have made a move.

Re: Nightmare About The '16 Season! :(

Honestly, I know this was kind of a silly start to this thread, but I'm not sold on the fact that the Browns think RGIII is the future, much less the "Mr. Right Now" of quarterbacks. I think he might be able to put a few more butts in the seats (might even have to open up the other side's bleachers to fit everybody, lol), but ultimately, I think RGIII will have, at best, a Jason Campbell career. (Who, by the way, wants to come back and play football again.)

Nobody is sold on RGIII period, he's clearly a project.
