Dallas Week!

Lets get that bad taste right out of our mouths. A win against Dallas is always great, but after last night it is just flat out mandatory. Thats right - a code red!
I think Cousins will be on his game. I think the penalties subside a tad too. Lets hope Dak feels the heat on the road against a division rival and craps the bed! HTTR!

Lol. I just cant. Maybe its denial. Maybe its that I am just finally sick of bitching. I know two things for sure.
1) if we beat Dallas the world is right again.
2) bitching about a loss or finger pointing does nothing.
Look, a Super Bowl favorite made us look bad. Those guys have a vast more amount of experience under their belts on the field and on the side lines. Couple that with penalties, bad luck bounces, and bone headed plays and we were still down one score midway through the fourth quarter.
Dallas is not Pittsburgh. Lets get over the sulking, and on with the scalping!

Re: Dallas Week!

We're still beating Dallas. I will never admit defeat to those bastards even if we were 0-12 when playing them.

Find a way to stop the run, and we win easily.

Good point. As bad as the final score looks, despite all the mistakes, penalties, bad luck...etc... they were only down one score in the 4th. Clean it up, and step it up and they'll be fine.

However, that doesn't happen in five days...look for a shoot out with two bad defenses on display...60+ total points scored, that's my only prediction.

Re: Dallas Week!

I want to see a healthy Spencer Long starting at Center. I want Matt Jones to have 100+ rushing.

I want to see an angry bloodbath from the defense...I don't care, 15 yard penalties, Dallas players being carted off, etc.

I want to see this defense react to this garbage Monday night

Re: Dallas Week!

When you take the Myers Briggs personality test one of the things that comes out is whether you're forward-looking or retrospective. Some people make a decision and then constantly wonder and reevaluate whether it was the right thing, others make it and move on to the next decision, no matter the outcome.

I'm very much a forward looking person. No point in wallowing. We got our asses kicked, time to learn from it and move on. On to Dallas.

I like how we match up. Breeland has done well against Dez in the past, and Dak is no Big Ben. Also, if we want to get on track with Matt Jones and our running game, this is a good front to do it against. It's Sean Lee & a bunch of schmos vs. We've got to slow down their running game - which could include fighting AlfMo for those yards after contact. And Cousins needs to chill the F out.

I think we'll get it done.

Re: Dallas Week!

Facing a rookie won't matter if the front seven can't stop Elliott behind that big O-line. For all his talk about getting younger, bigger, and stronger at the point of attack, McCloughan has done little to upgrade our D-line. I really wanted him to draft Andrew Billings of Baylor when he was there for the taking in the 4th round.

Kirk should be able to win this game outright with his weapons and a weak Dallas defense.

Re: Dallas Week!

I'll say this: as scared as I am about facing an offensive line even better than the Steelers, we HAVE been able to gameplan to take away the run in the past. We've had a couple of games against AP where it was obvious that was the plan and it worked well. I worry Elliott will have 150 yards against us, but defensively I don't think they can match up.

Hopefully Cousins has whatever was in his system OUT of it now.

Re: Dallas Week!

I thought overall we played about like I expected us to play. It was the penalties that were killer. Cousins was a little off, but still made good decisions save that one INT. He was going to the right guy, intermediate passes were good, just had problems keeping drives alive but a lot of that wasn't on him. Reading all over the place people are saying he wasn't the guy.

We got out-coached for sure. Personally, I'm starting to think Barry might be part of the problem on defense. He just does. not. adjust.

Colin Powell advised me that it would be OK to use this thread to announce my boycott but to not use it to respond to posts concerning the upcoming Cowboys game.

Re: Dallas Week!

This should sum up how I feel about our chances. My DraftKings lineup consist solely of Dallas Cowboys except Antonio Brown is in the flex position
