Re: Skins v Rams pregame & predictions

I feel like this maybe a close one but since it's on the road, I am going say 24-21 Rams. We really really need this win. I believe we lose this one we are staring at 0-4 to start the season.

The biggest problem here is McVay knows all of our defensive weaknesses, and Phillips is a better DC than Gruden is at playcalling. That said, I think the Skins shake off the Philly loss, and our line harrasses Goff all day. Ultimately, it will come down to the players though, and ours step up to the challenge.

Not buying all this McVay knows our offense and what not. Is he actually going to cover our wr's or make a tackle? I'm more worried about Phillips having zero respect for our 0-line. I expect plenty of pressure from them. I just hope we do the same and get after Goff and force him into some mistakes. Should be another close game and will probably come down to turnovers.

I tend to agree, we know him and he knows us, any clear advantage is likely to be a wash.

31 - 21 Redskins if Aaron Donald doesn't play or is rusty.

If Aaron Donald is ready to go, he is going to kill us up front.

I cant believe I'm saying that a week 2 game is a must win but it is. If the Skins lose this game then 0-4 or 1-3 is a distinct possibility and if that happens I think the team unravels and the season gets really ugly. If this team has any stones at all they find a way to win.

Skins 20
Rams 17

Re: Skins v Rams pregame & predictions

I'm not buying we are as bad as we showed that first game. We lost because of turnovers, plain and simple. Cousins is the second reason (who contributed a couple himself) but he is a notoriously slow starter. No excuses for that, but we know what he is.

Colts are hot garbage. Do I think the Rams will be better offensively? Sure I do, but not significantly. They also have garbage WRs. Austin is the only one that even semi-scares me and if Swearinger puts one big hit on him, his vagina might explode.

Offensively, all I can ask for is for us to take. care. of. the. ball. We do that, we win and I think win big. If we start putting the ball on the ground constantly, we could lose in Eagles fashion. The Eagles offense and offensive line is superior to the Rams. I think defensively we should be able to shut them down.

No turnovers, Skins 27-10.
1-2 turnovers, Skins 20-17.
2+ turnovers, Rams 20-17.

Skins 27
Rams 13

McVay doesnt know this defense imo.
Our defense sets up the offense for success.

Rams defenae has been.pretty legit for a while. I can see this going either waynif our defense steps up.... but i dont see it happening right now, i dont have faith in playcalling on either side of the ball.

23-17..... whoever wants it more
