I just got shivers up my spine and a sick feeling when i read “lisfranc”. I must have mentally blocked it from my brain, but someone on a team i root for (skins, yankees, flyers, sixers)? In recent history had this and it was a nagging, downplayed, bitch of an injury. |

Re: Eagles vs. Skins Pregame (2nd Game)
Anyway, in the first quarter of this past weeks game I was feeling pretty good about a possible 4-2 mark and a huge win against the birds on MNF in Philly. Now, not so much.

Re: Eagles vs. Skins Pregame (2nd Game)
Really would be nice if Bree and Norman could play. At least one of them.
In a close, grind it out game we could really miss Hopkins... Eagles gonna be rested, much less injuried, at home with momentum...they should take it. Skins score late to bring it closer, but too late: Eagles 26 Skins 20

Re: Eagles vs. Skins Pregame (2nd Game)
Other then the first game Gruden's play calling has been pretty good. In hindsight, it seemed like in the first game Gruden's game plan was designed around the idea that Kirk would just go out and continue from where he left off last year, and that Pryer and Docson would catch what was thrown to them.
As the game kind of showed, Kirk and both receivers had to warm up with a few games under their belts. Gruden's game planning for the rest of the games seems to have taken that into consideration. We should have won that first game. All that being said, the eagles are playing very well. If both teams bring their A game, the eagles probably take it. If we get a couple of bounces going our way. We could take it. Skins 27 Eagles 23 |

Anything can happen in a rivalry game. Still, with both Breeland and Norman being down and Allen being out it will be tough. Giving the edge to the Eagles on this one, 31-17.

I must've missed something, but is Norman officially out of the Monday night game? I thought I heard that he was going to be ready for the game?

Keeping my fingers crossed! Also read where DeAngelo Hall might get activated. Don't know how effective he'd be right now, but any experience we can get in the secondary we can most definitely use.

Re: Eagles vs. Skins Pregame (2nd Game)
I get nervous about putting Hall in the lineup for such an important game. It takes time for these guys in the secondary to learn to communicate with one another.
We're going to miss Norman and Allen, but I don't get why anybody would figure this to be a lopsided game. We played them so closely in the first game until a BS call didn't get overturned when Cousins's hand was clearly coming forward on the Cox "fumble" return for TD. Remember, we were within 6 points with two minutes to play in the game when that happened. We're going to miss Norman and Allen, but I have a hunch that this is one of those games where we really get up and play with some anger. I think the offensive line in particular is going to be looking for payback, they are not a group that likes to get outplayed and I think Cox and the Eagles did outplay them a little in Game 1. I think they come back looking to hit and inflict pain. I also think our depth is better than theirs. I think the secondary steps up and I think Lanier performs. I think it's an attitude game and we bring it. Skins 27 Eagles 24

Re: Eagles vs. Skins Pregame (2nd Game)
Idk about this game. Eagles are really good but we also gave them that first game. Kirk is 0-5 all time on MNF. For that reason skins will win 28-24.

Re: Eagles vs. Skins Pregame (2nd Game)
We were a dropped TD away from beating the best team in the league, so I truly believe we can play well against any team.
However, I'm very concerned about how beat up the team is going to be when they face the Iggles. Both the secondary and the running game are going to be a concern. I'm really concerned about the running game, because ever since Kelly went down, we haven't found a viable RB. Perine is just not doing it, Brown apparently is not an option (at least to the coaching staff), and Thompson can only do so much. It'd be huge if we can have a healthy Kelly on Monday.
