Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
Gotta say, for such a tough slate of games, I think the first 10 games lines up fucking good. We got a chance to get some confidence and improve.
Starting Thanksgiving, shit gets rough

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
if the league is pushed back, the games will just go on to the next week.. So if week 1 is postponed the skins would open with LA instead per Schefty

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
I love the schedule. Week 8 bye, mini bye after thanksgiving and our team has time to gel before SF, Seattle and the 2nd Philly game to cement our division title!

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
No primetime games?? Fuck yeah, no 100% guaranteed losses. And a chance to be my 2nd favorite Thanksgiving Day ever. This schedule is absolutely fantastic!!

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
Text from me to my Cowboys buddy: Redskins vs Cowboys on Thanksgiving!! May you have nothing to give thanks for!
His response: You fuckers have spoiled enough of that holiday in my life I'm 36 and he's around the same age so I think this is mostly The Ghost of RG3. But that will always be my favorite Thanksgiving. That was one glorious day.

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
If we do better than expected and look competent this year, anything after week 4 can be flexed to Sunday night. So it's not a given we will only have 1 primetime game this year on Thanksgiving.
Other than that schedule looks fine. I'm more worried about it being modified to accommodate another potential 'rona flare up.

I just can't worry about our W-L record this season. I just want to see across-the-board progress. Another very high draft pick would be a nice consolation for me if we can't hang with these teams in Year One of our team building. |

I think this schedule gives us a decent shot at a 3-5 or even 4-4 record with a bye to reset what is working and what isn't prior to making a wildcard/division run for the last 8 weeks. Last year the division was a shambles so although I think all the teams made good offseason improvements, I don't think you can properly write one team up and one team down until the product is shown on the field. And our 2 games that the rest of the division teams don't play -Detroit and Carolina - are certainly winnable games right now. The giants play the bears/bucs (likely 2 losses) Cowboys play the vikings/falcons (also winnable) Eagles play packers/saints (50/50 in my mind) Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
I can't complain about this schedule at all honestly. Bye in the middle of the season. No short weeks except for Thanksgiving, but Dallas will also have a short week that week.
I hate prime time games just because staying up late and trying to get up for work the next day sucks, so selfishly I'm happy on that one. But last year we had that brutal 5 game stretch to open the season which just buried all hope and I think resulted in the team giving up on Jay entirely (though he and Manusky did enough on their own to earn that). This time no such problem. There aren't any brutal stretches of consecutive road games. I'm not sure what I could complain about. Other than that we still figure to suck.

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
I guess weeks 12-14 are kind of brutal with consecutive road games, at Dallas on Thanksgiving, then 10 day rest to go away to Pittsburgh, then 7 day rest to go away to San Fran. That's a pretty brutal road stretch I guess. But we're losing to SF no matter how much rest or where the game is played, so in my mind it's all the same.
But then we finish home vs Seattle, home vs Carolina, and away vs Philly which is close to home.

Re: Redskins 2020 schedule
Schedule release is the most overhyped event of the offseason. A 3 hour special last night to put the known opponents in date order? I didn't watch one second of it.
