Hey Madden Fans
If you got the game you already peeped the skins and their new playbook, and style. If not, when you do get it you will realize quickly that the teams now uses the h-back position and has the run plays from last year. It's a great running game but very difficult to pass... Sorry but no Shotgun. As for how they are during game-play, the offense is kinda garbage (especially the QB's), the running game is alright but the deffense on the other hand, is off the hook. Although the defenses individual ratings look somewhat under-rated, their play as a team is more than solid.
What do u guys think of the Madden 06 skins?

Re: Hey Madden Fans
Picked it up last night but had a lot of husband/father duties last night keeping me from taking off the shrink-wrap... maybe this weekend... Does the Superstar mode look good?

Re: Hey Madden Fans
if the offensive playbook is anything like last years offense, i'd ditch it immediately for something useful glad to hear the D works well though.

Re: Hey Madden Fans
You have to work with the offense to figure out what works against each team. I do like the fact that the opposing teams A.I. seems much improved. On third and long they'll spread out to cover four wide and you can actually run a successful draw. That used to never happen to me when playing the CPU.
I have had great passing numbers. I'm only throught the 2nd game of the regular season (i just beat dallas 42-14; They scored on a kickoff return and a fumble recovery) but my passer rating is like 120 something and i have 8 passing TD's using gibbs' playbook. I would like to put the shotgun in there and run it occasionally. Some of the fake handoffs and counters work amazingly well in moderation. I still have yet to gain positive yds on an end around though. |

Re: Hey Madden Fans
well i haven't had much time to use the skins playbook. im hooked on superstar mode, so far i've been through several careers, one as a middle linebacker, and 3 careers as a wideout. i haven't gone through the whole careers yet, i just kept changing until i got to a career i liked. in my first career, i was a middle linebacker drafted by the pats, i didn't like that so i scrapped it and started over as a wideout. in my second career i was a wideout, drafted by the falcons, i was loving it until the power went out and my file was corrupted. i started over and i was a wideout drafted by the cowboys, and since i hated them so much i decided to start over again. now im a wideout, drafted by the texans, 85 overall, then i was traded to the ravens on my request, i didn't like playing for them so i asked to be traded, and i was traded to the jets. now im pretty happy with it, and once my two year contract is up im gonna leave them and try and sign with the skins, if they're interested.

Re: Hey Madden Fans
Where do you find out about contracts and being traded? I've only started one preseason game with the vikings, but I dont remember sigining a contract or even having the option to request a trade.
