Moss, Patten, and...
With opening day just a couple of weeks away who do you guys think will be the #3 receiver on opening day. Not saying for the rest of the season necessarily, just to start the season.
My guess is Thrash. I thought Taylor Jacobs would lock it down when the preseason started, but now I'm not so sure. I kind of hope it's not Antonio Brown, because I want to save him for special teams where I think he'll be invaluable. Dante Hall-esque Anyhow, as the great Matty would say "Vote bitches!"

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
i'm gonna go with thrash too. he's a good #3. i would like to see antonio brown at #3, given his speed i think he could be a good deep receiver, or a good slot receiver, but he's invaluable on special teams.

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
most likely thrash, but i would liek to see either mccants or brown get the playing time.
but thrashes experience will give him the edge. |

Gotta go with Thrash too. None of the other guys showed enough yet. Also, with Thrash and Patten, we actually have guys that can hold on to the damn ball. Nice change from all the drops we were so accustomed to.

Gotta go with Thrash. He earns it playing special teams too and he has reliable hands and fights for yardage. I like Dyson, too however, due to his size and I think he and Cooley will be a nice package in the red zone.

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
It is funny that we all are voting Thrash, I remember about 2 months ago someone, I dont remember who, was saying that Thrash was going to get cut....

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
thrash has been playing #3 so far, and he's been good enough to stay there... brown is the only challenge i see right now until jacobs gets healthy enough to try again.
seems like going by past production thrash has had an 800 yard season, so he's a safe bet. |

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
I voted for Dyson, but after considering Brown and Betts hadling all of the return duties, Thrash is the obvious choice.

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
its getting good, i am gonna get the popcorn and wait to see who comes in second. Clearly if jacobs wasn't injuried with a flu or toe or god knows what i would choose him but right now if i had to choose it would be mccants or dyson, I like mccants for his hight and hope he makes the team over dyson but then again i like me some antonio

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
I picked Jacobs, I think he will play in these next two preseason games and step it up. Dyson would be my next choice.
Why does everyone here have such a hard-on for Brown as a return guy? What has he done that was so special? And comparing him to Daunte Hall....please...when I watched him during the first preseason game he didnt break any tackles and always ran right at the defenders

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
Brown always seems to be close to breaking one, and I remember one return he had against Cincy near the sideline where he put a couple of stop and go moves on Cincy defenders that even had my Dad yelling out "wow", and he's not much of a football fan so that should tell you something.

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
AND brown doesn't fair catch.... unlike that last guy who averaged just about nothing per return with the FCs counting.

Re: Moss, Patten, and...
Brown did some nice things in the Cinney game and he's going to get better week by week.
