Re: Camp Cuts
i was also surprised by Newberry and Clifton Smith. Smith had great offseason and newberry was a draft choice

I'm not surprised he was cut. However, his size was one positive, but his effort on ST & his lack of speed factored into this decision. Now he can pursue his career in painting

Cut him a break! I meant cut him! First cuts usually mean the team is allowing those players to catch on somewhere else. Do you really want to see Ade listed on another team roster as "Formerly with the Redskins", turn around and look bad on their team, and bring us down that much further? Folks would wonder why we had him for two years in the first place!

Re: Camp Cuts
No real surprises I guess.
We knew McCants was coming, Smith is a bit surprising but it's a numbers game at LB. Some of these guys could be practice squad material. As for the Jimoh haters, the guy is a solid special teams guy, so don't be surprised if he sticks around again. |

Re: Camp Cuts
I don't care if he plays special teams as long as we NEVER see him playing at CB.

Re: Camp Cuts
AJFC, when you're playing with your sports figurines, please make sure that the Ade is only in kick coverage.
Speaking of which, when you re-enacted Friday's game, did you play crowd noise for when you had "LaVar's successful return" to the field? I hope so, because I know you're all about attention to detail.

Re: Camp Cuts
smith is a bit surprising, but in the games he got a bunch of penalties and didn't look super solid, so i can see why he's gone... we have at least 6 LBs better then him and 2 are stand out special teamers (mccune, K campbell)... and keasey will probably make it too...
our camp roster has been thin at CB all offseason, so its no surprise is AJ makes it again, there's just not enough competition there (maybe we should have tried out?) |

Re: Camp Cuts
i'm not suprised that ade is still here, after all we are thin at cornerback, we released artrell hawkins, and i don't know how many we still have.
