Gibbs gets a pass the rest of the year
Ya know, the Cowboys front office sat down during the offseason and said to one another, hey, we want to induct Aikman, Smith and Irvin into the ring of fame, which home game should we go with? I know, how about the Skins game cause we beat them like a drum! Oh thank you football gods, thank you!
I can honestly say, that other than my engagement, last night was the greatest night Ive had in the last 14 years! I did get to see the 4th quarter in HD. Mark Brunnell pulled the ball down AND RAN on 3rd and 25. He then converted a 4th and 15. He then made the first bomb to Santana Moss of 37 yards. I was on beer 8 at the time, and I remember it distinctly. At that point, I literally got down on my knees and made the following prayer (Im serious, I really did): Dear Football Gods: I know we aren't that good, and I know that we aren't going to the playoffs this year. But if they could just win this one game, just this game, I would be content for the season. They answered my prayer! I literally started screaming at the tv and jumped up and down until my shorts fell down to my feet, wearing my Redskins "LaVar" jersey. Folks, we aren't that good, our offense has some reallly big problems. That being said, I don't care if we win another game this year. Joe Gibbs, you have a pass from me for the rest of the season as 9/19 will live in my memory forever! Last edited by paulskinsfan; 09-20-2005 at 11:37 AM. |
