Harris and Noble (Springs now too)
I think we are missing these guys a bunch.
I think the long run last week and the first one this week were at Rogers and the other was where Springs normaly is. I think we need our corners back bad. I wonder if Noble got a better push or demanded more double teams (freeing up others). I hope The corners get back soon. |

Gibbs indicated it was a shin and he re-aggrevated the shin but nothing too serious.

Re: Harris and Noble (Springs now too)
Yes, we really need our starting corners back. I was getting really annoyed watching Carlos Rogers give a 12 yard cushion on every passing down, but apparently Greg Williams was calling the plays that way so the young corners didn't give up any big plays. The coverage would've been much tighter if the starters were in, and Shawn Springs is a much better tackler than Ade Jimoh, so he might have been able to prevent at least one of the big runs.
As far as Brandon Noble, he almost produces as much on IR as he does on the field. I think the defense is better off without him. |

Yeah, I'm thinking that is the reason for any defensive weakness. I think once the secondary gets healthy, we'll be fine.

If springs can't play, has any heard Garnell Wilds name mentioned. I believe he is still on the practice squad.

Re: Harris and Noble (Springs now too)
wilds is with carolina now, and the guy we had on the practice squad got taken back by the falcons. I still can't believe we kept 6 dts and only 4 cbs...

And with all due respect, the Ade is a timebomb in coverage. I was petrified every time they threw to his side of the field.

Re: Harris and Noble (Springs now too)
Shawn Springs will probably play v. KC. I just saw him, Jansen, and Portis on Comcast talk show. Springs is in good spirits and predicted that the Skins would go to the Playoffs.
Jansen also said don't worry about Portis not getting into the endzone. It's been more a function of the playcalling more than anything else. He said he expects Portis to get in more than once against KC. Good Show! |

Re: Harris and Noble (Springs now too)
As long as we get either one (Shawn Springs or Harris) back we will be fine. Carlos Rogers is ready to start and is as good as Springs or Harris.

Re: Harris and Noble (Springs now too)
Jimoh needs to be the waterboy, he is awful. Everytime he is on the field he gets burned. Even Spurrier saw that and benched him for the entire season. He made a good play on the plummer fumble(safety) but other than that I dont see where he is that good. He was forced into playing sunday, which luckely it was awful weather and the passing game for denver was negated. Because with our lack of a pass rush, those corners are going to have to cover guys much longer than if we were pressuring the QB. If this doesn't change(pressure) that may be trouble down the road. We have to start getting to the QB, atleast put the thought in his head that we can get to him.
