Are we still 3-1?
Unless I slipped into a coma and missed a few weeks, aren't we tied for first in the division and 3-1? All I am seeing is what's wrong with the way Lavar is being used, is Portis better than Bell, more Lavar, are we using Portis correctly.. We're a flawed team, no question, but let's enjoy something positive out of the Redskins rather than always looking for negativity...
[End Rant]

Wow, what a breath of fresh air...
This definitely IS another Ramsey situation. Just chill people, we all were pissed about that move and look how it worked out. 3-1 and if all goes well 4-1 by Sunday. And if we ARE 4-1, remember who comes to town NEXT week...

Re: Are we still 3-1?
Just because we are 3-1 doesn't mean there aren't any issues that need to be resolved. I for one would like to see us run on 3rd-and-1, improvement on special teams (Dante Hall could have a big day if we don't get our act together). As for LaVar, I really don't care either way.

Re: Are we still 3-1?
:thumb: that's it!!!! seems to me that the team is not the only one who needs to learn how to be a winner. we have to lose this sky is falling attitude.we are coming along as a team. becomeing a force to reckon with. a work in progress. but the media around here is sooooooooooooooo negative that even when there is nothing to be negative about they will make something up. :headbange thanks for the thread.

Re: Are we still 3-1?
Thats funny I was just getting ready to start a new thread about something positive. If we would have known that the skins would be winning and playing this way one week before the season started we would have been ecstatic. Ok, not evrything is perfect but each week I see our O playing better ball against better teams. So our D gave up some runs but they are playing excelent D again this year. We finaly have a passing game that teams have to respect and we know what that will do for Portis. The D already has the respect and we have not even got rolling this year and to top it off we have one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL that know how to build on an improving team.

56Fan is right! I think alot of Redskins fans has had so much to complain about for so many years that some will try to find something to complain about even when things are going well.

I'm not in Doom and Gloom mode, but I do want us to stay in a standing good enough to get us to the playoffs. Like a coach I am alway looking at ways we can improve

Re: Are we still 3-1?
I don't think anyone is acting like the sky is falling (although I admit that I haven't read every post). I for one am very happy with how things have turned out. I was even pleased with our loss in Denver (I would have been elated had we won). But, just because we are winning doesn't mean we shouldn't have questions about this or that.
For some strange reason, people think that you must either be 1) completely 100% content with no qualms or questions or 2) livid about everything and pissing on every parade that passes by. Can we be a little more sophisticated and be generally pleased, or displeased, and make criticisms and applaud without being dubbed a blind optimist or pessimist? |

Re: Are we still 3-1?
chad johnson was crying because he is 4-1, he said that 4-1 isn't good enough and that all they do is talk and don't execute. He was actually crying, the reporter was telling him that it seems to be very a very emotional issue for him and then he busted out the towel and wiped his eyes.

Re: Are we still 3-1?
I'm happy about 3-1, but as a long time Skins fan, I remember 3-1 a few years ago, and 7-1 back in '96 followed by a 1-7 collapse to finish out the season. And as much as I fuss about the LaVar issue, the things that worry me more are:
1) How much gas does Brunell have left in the tank? 2) Why has the defense steadily been giving up more yards and yards per carry on the ground, every week? 3) Dante Hall is going to tear us a new one if special teams doesn't get their act together. |
