Should Robert Royal Be Cut?

Not to lay the blame on one guy when the entire team simply screwed the pooch but this guy dropped everything thrown at him yesterday. WTF? They can pay me a couple hundred grand TO NEVER CATCH A F%^&ING THING if they want. How long is his stay here? I say they don't cut him but he may never see the field again.

Re: R Royal cut?

Who is even our backup tight end? I would put blame on Royal, but since just about eveyrone else dropped a bunch of balls, i'm not really gonna single him out.

Re: R Royal cut?

Who's behind him?

Kozlowski?

We don't have the depth to have the luxury of cutting Royal.

Besides, that would be making him the fall guy and I don't agree with that, it was a complete team effort.

everyone dropped passes. portis, moss, everyone...if you cut royal based on his performance youd have to cut the whole team

Frost's punting was ok. He was the only player that showed up.

Re: R Royal cut?

Frost got the most work of anyone. I counted four dropped catches by Robert Royal. The heartbreaker was the touchdown that would have gotten the egg off the scoreboard.

Re: R Royal cut?

You might as well cut the whole starting unit. Hail to the practice squad!! No he doesn't need to be cut.

Re: R Royal cut?

What it shows me is that the game at this level really is mental--if you don't bring it every play, you get your ass handed to you.

Not sure that cutting anyone is going to help--instead, the real leaders on this team need to step up and lead us back in the right direction. Anyone can lead when things are going good. The real test of leadership is when things look their darkest.

Yea, but with all the punts he had to make he will probably be out next week with a swollen foot.

Re: R Royal cut?

I must say while Royal's drops were stunning.......................but I cannot remember a game when the entire team looked so inept. If it wasn't bad enough that we were playing ineffectually early on. As the day progressed, the performance, or maybe the error factor (basically to the man) seem gain momentum exponentially. It wasn't bad enough the recievers couldn't catch the ball, they started falling down, and slipping. Runnign bascks couldn't gain any yards. Then they started fumbling. I found myself hoping that they could just hold the ball. Maybe they could learn to get a gain yardage when they had mastered holding the damn ball! Did everyone see my favorite dude Ray Brown bowled over on his ass by a bull rushing end? That summed up the day. Complete breakdown across the board. I personally cannot think of anything that could cause that kind of chaos across the board except for one thing.....................Big Head! believing the media hype! We'll see this week
