He may have played DE a play or two the first couple of games. But they are now using Clemons as the DE pass rusher and LA is generally been out of the game on 3rd downs. They keep Marcus and Marshall in on nickel situations. and sometimes just Marcus, depends on Gregs package for that team.

If Walt Harris keeps whiffing on tackles like last two weeks, we may see him sooner than later.

In Harris's defense (and this is difficult), but his "bad" tackoing in the Giants game was mostly when the game was out of reach, and he was going exclusively for stripped balls. The scene of him being dragged 10 yards while slapping at the ball was ugly, but almost understandable.

I certainly hope so. He's a much better tackler than Harris.

Re: LaVar on top of Depth Chart

He doesn't cover as well as Walt Harris, though. I bothers when I see guys making catches with no corner in the picture, and 9 times out of 10 it's Carlos Rogers coming up to make the tackle.

Re: LaVar on top of Depth Chart

I know one thing, I'm tired of watching Harris miss tackles like it is his job.

I say give the kid a chance.

Oh and by the way Lavar is the man... He has been a true Pro this season.

Re: LaVar on top of Depth Chart

Lavar has really stepped up lately. He has seen the true light and i feel like he's happier now with the team more than ever. As for Carlos Rogers, i don't know how long we should wait, it seems like Walt Harris has been whiffing tackles like i don't know what lately.

Re: LaVar on top of Depth Chart

Good to see...he's not even 100% yet, either. Where are the "trade Lavar" people now? Where are the media articles about Lavar not being here next year now? "Where is your messiah, nooooowww".

Re: LaVar on top of Depth Chart

yeah he might get a nod here in the 2nd half of the year. didn't he start one bc of an injury to WH already? i don't think anyone expected too much of walt anyhow so he's been doing okay compared to my expectation at least.
