Re: Tampa Questions for Tony McGee

The Redskins were both helped a bit and harmed irreperably by poor officiating. From my understanding, the team has supported the instant replay rule in the past. However, in several cases leaguewide this year, officials have failed to overturn plays where the visual evidence has supported their doing so. Do you think the franchise will push for reform of the rule in the offseason - or withdraw its support entirely?

Tony, big plays continue to kill this defense. Are the big plays more due to breakdowns in the scheme or is it due to a lack of talent, or both?

Did we see exactly how important Sean Taylor is to this defense and this team?

Tony,

How should the Skins scheme to stop the Oakland pass attack?

Re: Tampa Questions for Tony McGee

Tony, did you agree with Gibbs calling a running play on 3rd and 2 with 2 minutes left in the game and Tampa without their timeouts? I thought it was the logical thing to do since we were running the ball very well.

Thanks.

Tony,

Why do you think that Clinton Portis was able to run so well on the #1 defense in the NFL? Was the blocking different or was he just healthy? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Tony,

I mentioned this on the site earlier and I was wondering if you've also noticed that unheralded rookies, former Redskins or slumping players have a break out game against the Redskins? What do you think the reason is for this? Or is it just bad luck?

Tony,

Why did both defenses look vulnerable on Sunday?

Tony,

Does '05 Washington Redskins make the playoffs? If not, will they end the season at 9-7 or 10-6 and barely miss the playoffs?

Re: Tampa Questions for Tony McGee

Hey Tony,

Do you think there's a constant underlying issue (other than obviously turnovers) that causes us to outgain opponents in close games, but not put them away?

Also, don't I have the coolest nickname on the site?
