Re: Another Giant owner died

from what I know, this guy didn't have anything even close to the same affect on the league and his own players like Mara did so I don't think it'll be the same thing. But then again it's not like the eagles will be able to put up much of a fight anyway with their 3rd string qb leading them.

Mike McMahon is a pretty decent QB, and I can help but wonder if the Eagles aren't better off without McNabb.

He's been playing hurt the past few weeks and the last two weeks he's thrown costly interceptions. It's admirable that he's out there giving it all he's got. But I can't help but wonder if the team might rally a bit around McMahon.

I definitely think McMahon might be the better answer while McNabb is hurt. Reggie Brown just has to get over his case of the dropsies.

Re: Another Giant owner died

They will have all the players out on the field for the start of the game and for 15 min. they will do a tribute to his life and family. They will have all family members out on the field crying and one of his childeren or grandchildren sing the National Antem. After all the Giants get fired up to win one for him and his family and Dallas players coming down from the 15 min they have had to watch this going on will they start the game. They did it once and it worked why not do it again.

I had the chance to meet - VERY briefly - Robert Tisch about nine or ten years ago. He was a very gracious man; he and his family were major philanthropists in the city of NY. A major part of his fortune was in the hotel business - I think it was Loews Hotels but I'm not positive at the moment.

RIP ...

Actually it was Loews Theaters. He bought 50% of the Giants in 1991. I just hope they don't drag his family out on the field before the game and have his grandchildren sing the national anthem. I mean don't misunderstand me, I believe in giving respect to the deceased, but that's a little over the edge.

I believe the Loews Corporation owns both the theatres and the hotels. I think they also own the Bulova watch company

Just thought I'd add that the WTM patch now reads WTM-PRT. For a pic:

Good Luck Philly, we'll be rooting for ya.
