Schottenheimer

Apparently Marty Schottenheimer wanted to leave his interview after the Colts game to watch the Skins v.s. Cowboys. I wonder why? Anyone know?

Re: Schottenheimer

Marty and Joe Gibbs are friends, and they both have homes outside Charlotte. Marty probably was pulling for the Skins!

Yep. They play golf regularly.

And Marty still maintains that he left the Skins on good terms with Snyder, it was just a matter of differing opinions about the front office structure. He's probably still pulling for us.

Of course he's on good terms with Snyder, I'd be on good terms with anyone who paid me $15 million to NOT coach his team anymore.

Re: Schottenheimer

maybe if the San Diego doesnt' make the playoffs he could be out, and come back to Washington in some capacity. If Joe leaves and GW has left he would coach again. Who else would come here.

Marty was let go for 1 reason and 1 reason only, the OBC decided to leave the U of Fla and DS wanted him more than any other coach on the planet.

Re: Schottenheimer

I would also guess Marty to be a guy who doesn't have Parcells high on his list. I bet a bunch of coaches and players around the league had a smile on their face when they saw the score of this one.

If not GW, it will be Russ Grimm if he doesn't have a job already.

Re: Schottenheimer

Marty was fired because he wouldn't make the changes in his coaching staff that were so despiratly needed and give some of his control to Snyder and co.
