Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
The guy came in and played pretty well. My hat's off to Patrick! I still believe Brunell is our guy, but this win gives me a little more confidence in Patrick Ramsey.

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
I agree. As much as I love the guy, I was one who got very worried when he came into the game. He played very well and did a good job rallying the team.
GOOD JOB, PAT!

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
I was extremely nervous. At that point, the Giants were stopping our running game, and things just seemed to be going for New York, but as soon as Ramsey threw that TD pass, I felt much better. :-)

Great job in back-up and an excellent example of Redskins spirit on the interview.

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
great job by ramsey, i definitely had major doubts when i saw him in the game before he threw the td pass. I do hope that brunell is starting next week though, i feel that Philly will be the essential trap game, and we have a better shot of winning with brunell in there.

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
At the cowboys game as everyone left i got to move down right behind the redskins bench and i thought it was awsome that the only person on the field i could hear was patrick going woooooo, and slapping people and running away. This was with like 5 minutes to go. He is a true redskin. to bad it didn't work out for him here.
he has played in the last 4 giants game even though he has only started 1 |

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
Patrick is such a gamer and a real Redskin. He's stuck with the franchise through thick and thin and deserved what he got today. I LOVED how pissed he was on the second timeout, when the play was designed for Antonio Brown and Brown was out of position. Good call and good eye by Patrick to get the TO.

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
Mad props to Pat...some say it was a bad pass and Santana is just a good wideout. Some say it was an excellent pass.....I SAY IT WAS 7 points!!!!
Hats off to you Pat.....you deserve credit as far as I am concerned!!! Let the haters, hate!

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
Ramsey showed a lot of maturity today. When he came in all he was asked to do was manage the game-put the ball in Portis' hands and let the defense do their thing. He's so competitive that in the past he's wanted to take the game into his own hands and go away from the game plan and that's when he starts forcing things. Today he really showed that he's learned a lot....and nice pass to Moss!
I'm with skinsguy, I think Brunell is the better choice when both are healthy. But I was very pleased with Ramsey.

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
This is why I was so happy we didnt trade Pat when the Jets wanted him. You often need two QBs to win in this league, and he did it for us today.
Great job Ramsey! I hope you are with us next year, and if not I wish you all the best! (Unless you play us of course...) |

I hope everything works out for him, I've always like Patrick Ramsey and today he showed everyone why. The kid has heart and he's a class act.

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
I was really nervous when he came in, especially after he had to call timeout when guys weren't getting lined up correctly (not that it was necessarily his fault).
Overall a solid job in relief, a little shaky on the snaps at times but that's to be expected. |

Re: Give it up for Patrick Ramsey
Patrick Ramsey has been and always will be a class act. He's taken his demotion without mouthing off to the press, as many players would have. And, he got his chance to redeem himself and came through like a champ. He deserves all the credit he's getting. If Brunell can't play next week, I have no concerns with Ramsey being the starter.
Wouldn't it be ironic if he was our QB in the playoffs? |
