Bills are the final expected opening for this cycle. 10 is pretty high.
Hot seat Jan. 2027: 1. Commanders - Dan Quinn 2. Eagles- Nick Sirianni 3. Bucs- Todd Bowles 4. Colts- Shane Steichen 5. Jets- Aaron Glenn 6. Bengals- Zac Taylor - well only if he has nothing left on his contract. Brown to cheap to him; if Bengals fail again. This cycle took out a lot of long tenure coaches. Next year should be a low number of openings. |

My previous post listed the potential openings next year. Only the Jets look like a team that could fire their coach in season. Could a team fire coach to keep a young up and coming coach and promote them? We’ve seen that happen before. DQ better hope Blough really doesn’t outshine him. Blough really has a good year with offense and other teams may want him as head coach. To prevent losing him, we get rid of DQ and after meeting Rooney Rule; promote Blough. |
