How do we know it's not the injury-bug and personnel issues that have caused the defense to suffer? Archuleta and Wright are total busts. If we suck next year on defense, then I'll be prepared to guess that Williams has lost his touch. Until then, I'm not willing to say a guy with Williams' resume has lost his touch based on 9 games in one season.

Every team's got injuries, so that's no excuse. But you're right: One year doesn't make a trend. If he sucks this bad next year, he's lost his touch. If he rebounds, forget I ever said he lost his touch.
