This comes back to the Ray Rice thing. Do we want to the NFL to be the moral compass? Because what the courts decided wasn't exactly on par with child abuse punishment.

The NFL in no way, shape, or form made the decision based on a moral compass. They dont think they got the Ray Rice thing wrong based on a moral compass. They just know that it can affect their wallets and made the decision with future income in mind. If it was about a moral compass, they would have never given Rice 2 games in the first place.

Having said that, I will go back to what I said when the Ray Rice thing first broke. If the NFL is the moral compass of this country we are screwed. It has to be up to the courts to make the right calls. It should have never came down to the NFL having to be the punishing body for Ray Rice, because he should have been in jail from the get go.
