I know this is heresy, should his running schemes be simplified?

Lavau said in an interview during camp they had about 13 different run schemes:

It's the interview from 8-9-16.

Cooley seems to suggest that it might be tough to master that many schemes.

All of our starters are going into the second year of this offense with Callahan as the Oline coach and run game coordinator.

They shouldn't have to pause and think as much as they were in Atlanta at the snap of the ball.

His line performed well in Dallas and, in theory, that should translate here. But, we really don't know how many different schemes he was allowed to run in Dallas and how complicated those were.
