I do think Jay knows how to assess football character and I think he has a strong vision for what he wants his team to look like. I would go so far as to say I would trust him to have final say over our draft board on a go forward basis.

The only remaining reservation I have about Jay is whether he keeps himself open minded enough about coaching staff hires. Does he rely too much on those he knows, thus limiting himself to a narrow field of candidates. We'll see.

Overall in Jay I trust.

I think Jay is the backbone of the franchise. My concern is if he is experienced enough to expand his roll and still manage the team properly.

Very few coaches are successful at balancing the budget, buying the groceries, and cooking the meal. Sorry - channeling my inner Bill Parcells.
