If you believe O'Connell has full OC responsibilities then he needs some blame for this shit show and might not be the talent most people think he is.

If you believe Jay has full control over the passing game while Callahan controls the running game then O'Connell isn't a real OC and is not ready for HC.

I'm OK with going with O'Connell as interim HC but at the end of the year, Snyder needs to clean house or nothing will change.
This is why I say put Callahan as interim HC and give the entire offense to KOC. If his offense shows improvement and some degree of success, then you can consider him your HC next season. If it doesn't, you can move on from him.

Your interim HC this year is going to be doing a lot of damage control and dealing with a lot of crap from a lost season. Callahan can do this as a former coach. No reason to put KOC there yet. And you leave yourself options by doing this.
