Normal weekend in the NFL sadly enough. Mayfield dislocated right thumb heard screaming on field. Brian Burns torn acl out 4-6 months. Sport has evolved into battle imo. Injuries in this sport are merciless and excessive.

NFL's injuries and violence are worst I've ever seen them. Serious injuries weekly along with CTE. Honestly starting to wonder about the sustainability of the league long term. Brutal sport.

You must be young the hits and violence back in the days was much worse. Today they protect the player a lot more but the players are bigger and faster.

Anytime you can steal a game off the SB champs w/ your backup that is a good thing. Most of the breaks went our way. Just goes to show how valuable it is to have a quality back up QB. Their starter turned the ball over and our backup did not. There is your game.

Blough with those last two calls gets a game ball. Talk about having some balls.

The defense is bad against the pass. The scheme sucks, way too many guys getting easy uncontested catches. No one can cover anyone except #2 and Sonny. Zero pass rush. They need to get turnovers which they did yesterday.

Separately, it looks like Okonkwo, Luvu, and Daniels all traveling to London tomorrow and have a chance to play. Unclear re: Cosmi. And I haven't heard anything about Nick Cross who I think we really missed yesterday. I think Amik Robertson should have gotten a game ball too, FWIW. Dude was everywhere.

Got you. Honest question: were the injuries this consistent and extreme back in the 70's-90's? Any comparison between now and that era would be great just for insight. I've heard of the Dennis Byrd story before which sounded terrible. Thanks.

I don't know if I agree that the pass rush was a zero. Both interceptions were the result of the rush hurrying Darnold. If Medrano was a more disciplined linebacker he would've also had a sack. Obviously room for improvement though. I like the scheme that Jones seems to be running he has made some experienced veteran QBs confused on blitzes, check out of plays and lead to incompletions. My favorite was in the Dallas game where he even dropped Payne into zone coverage against their TE and Daks was so confused he didn't know what to do.
