Re: NFL.com's top 50 players in the game
If you agree with Payton and Brady as in the top two then you have to give #1 to Brady. Brady has 3 SB and Payton has none.

Re: NFL.com's top 50 players in the game
i'd give it to brady as well, brady hasent had near the amount of talent payton has had around him on offebse, but then again defense wins championships and we all know that payton didnt have one of those, until now.

Brady is definitely better than Manning...no contest.
Prisco doesn't know what he's talking about, but then again none of the Sportsline writers do and it's only May.

Re: NFL.com's top 50 players in the game
seems like some of his guys are based on reputation. Larry Johnson had 1 good year, dont know how he can be there before Portis. LT is by far the best player in the NFL. Peyton chokes when it counts, so I dont see him being the best player. If a QB is going to be the best, Brady would be the best in my book. Regular season and their records come second to winning big games and he just hasn't done it. And I doubt losing Edge is going to help that at all. TO, aside from his diva attitude has to be top 5 or top 10 players, he changed the game, period!. I dont like him, but he is the best receiver in the game right now. Moss, when he feels like it can be the best ever. Chad Johnson is definately a top 5 receiver. As much as I would like to say Santana should be in the mix, he just hasn't put together a few seasons of good numbers.

Re: NFL.com's top 50 players in the game
ray lewis i think is very overated... champ is kinda overated but hes the closest thing in the league to a shut down corner so im fine with a top 10 spot

Re: NFL.com's top 50 players in the game
i thought bailey was over rated when he was here, and after what t owens did to him last year, very much over rated.as far as lewis ,a top 3 player in his time, that time has gone.but still one of the better linebackers in the league

Re: NFL.com's top 50 players in the game
every time i've watched champ in denver, he's been tripping over himself and such. I didn't notice any drop off when springs took over and i never notice springs taking prat falls when he gets beat or whatever... in fact, i've rarely noticed springs at all the last two years, which is a good thing.

Re: NFL.com's top 50 players in the game
you have to remember that he was playing with multiple injurys throughout last year and still had the second most amount of int's in the league without all the ty law calls
