You could be right about him being ready to go early in the season, but I don't think he'll be playing at all in the preseason.
Actually, they probably can. Many athletes have regular access to or have purchased their own hyperbaric chambers, which have been proven to regenerate bone faster than normal, in addition to a number of other healing capabilities.

Terrell Owens had a severe ankle sprain and fractured fibula on December 19th, 2004 and then had something like 9 catches for 122 yards in the Super Bowl on February 4th, 2005, roughly six weeks later. The doctors, and everyone else for that matter said it was basically impossible to recover from that injury that fast. I saw an interview with TO later where he basically gave the credit to his recovery to the hyperbaric chamber that he basically lived in for 6 weeks before the Super Bowl.

So, from a certain standpoint, wealthy athletes, or at least people who have access to hyperbaric chambers, CAN regenerate bone faster.

Re: Randy Thomas

if your rich, you can heal a bit faster... various forms of medicinal steriods, hyperbaric chambers, better surgeons and better work product/grafts/etc.

and even when he can't bear weight on the injury, he CAN do leg etc exercises on the muscles near the injury with various weight machines (and he and the skins have enough cash to have custom ones built as needed).

I agree. I think it'd be foolish to play him in the preseason.

Re: Randy Thomas

Why not give Molinaro the majority of Thomas's snaps with the first team.. we know once Thomas is healthy he will perform fine, and Molinaro can play G or T, if a starter goes down it will help him.

cause molinaro probably isn't all that good. they put cory raymer in at OG (something he's never played before) over molinaro (and raymer was a f-ing turnstile), so they must not think all that much of him.

Re: Randy Thomas

thatguy, dont bring up that painful memory of raymer TRYING to play guard. what a joke that was. i think thomas will play sparingly in the preason and be ready by week one
