During the last few minutes in the stands, 300ish parents generated the noise of 3000. Do they believe this team is championship caliber? Do we think their perfect? Do we think they don't need changes? No, just an average HS team. We are fans and, as such, refuse to give up. Nothing is gained from trying to pick apart all that is good or can be. Something can be gained from continued support, and teams can be inspired or willed to greatness through others.
It is the same for my Redskins. Believer? Hardly. Fan? Definately
That's getting into a bit of symantics because all believers are inherently fans, but not all fans are believers. And I would imagine that a parent whose kids team pulled off something great like that would go crazy, but I'm also sure most of them don't know enough about the other teams in the league, or the even the inner workings of their kids team to make any kind of educated analysis about it's ability.

I don't really see being a fan as having much to do with the guaging talent or ability of other teams. It is interesting from a projected success standpoint to do so. Just my opinion, but, generally I think if you are a fan, you should look for ways to get behind the team, rather than continually dissect and tear down. That does not mean you look blindly upon their shortcomings. Nor does it mean you put yourself above the coaching staff. Who among us can say they are qualified? This is especially true, considering the success our coaching staff has had. Does Joe and Co think they have a problem? YES! Does Joe have way to much class to air dirty laundry in public? Does Joe realize that to do anything but take the high road is counterproductive? YES. TO continually call out the coaching staff, and second guess same is an asinine display of Jackassery (thanx MK). Being a fan is tough-NOT FOR EVERYBODY

I really must add, with the rigorous rippage of the team and staff that is regularly demonstrated by many of the frequenters of this site, I have to ask, do they REALLY enjoy this? TOO WIERD

-A FAN
