You hit it. That's why it's so silly to compare their stats to begin with.
The stats will tell you what you want to hear or read. I never paid attention to those stats people would throw around saying Brunell's stats are better than Jason's.

Fact of the matter is, once Gibbs inserted Cambell teams respected the deep ball, and it spred the defense more. Ladell Betts was an indirect benefactor of Jason Campbell's ability to get the ball deep.
