I read this on another forum and it pretty much says it all:
"[You're right], Kobe's arms have always flailed out sideways towards peoples faces when he shoots." That's where the problem lies. What he did isn't something that happens under normal circumstances. Whether he meant to hurt Ginobili, or just keep him away from the ball doesn't really matter.
