Re: Chesapeake Jubilee BBQ Competition
Hey!
My Pits get here this weekend!!! Hail Yeah guys. If you look in that top pic you can see 1 of my back yard smokers I have been doing all of this on. Well I ordered not just 1, not just 2 but THREE big trailer BBQ Smoker Pits. lol I had a woody while ordering 3 pits trust me. hahaha Any ways 1 is for my partner Tim's house but the other two are mine. Each of us partners ordered 1 a little different. Maxims is just a pit made wide for storage, Tim's is the pit left narrow but extended on the front for 2 Fish Fryers. Mine is the pit made wide for storage box and extended on the front for a 37" open pit grill. lol Here it is after powder coating but before fenders, lights and stuff. How cool is that?! I WILL be the Redskins' BBQ man one day. lol peace

Re: Chesapeake Jubilee BBQ Competition
This event was last weekend. I'll be heading to Tim's shortly to start setting up camp in the parking lot. lol Just made 5lbs of rub to sell in batches and am going to cook 2 kinds of fresh sauce with Chele today too. I'll be set up and cooking 8 pork shoulders by 6pm and then it's game on!
I'll come back here tomorrow and get the new pits and take them back down and roll on a whole nuther level. Do you have good directions to Tim's?

Re: Chesapeake Jubilee BBQ Competition
It gets a little crazy once off Route1.
95 South to Dumfries VA, Route 234 EAST That dead ends on Route 1 in about a mile. Left/North on Route 1 for about a mile. Right at the Super Walmat Light. Was called Cherryhill Road, now is River Heritage. Go about a mile and through a 4 way stop. Follow Detours onto a new BIG road that takes ypu back down to Cherryhill road. You WILL think you are in West Virginia but keep going down the curvey road. Cross over the train tracks and follow gravel road to the left about 100 yards to Tim's Rivershore on the Potomac River. You will LOVE the place...and me too! lol Be safe and call if'n ya need. peace
