1st of all if you know a typical Joe Gibbs offense, there is no screens. How many has Portis run this season. 1 against the Bucs, thats it. This offense uses the old flood the zones so the QB has a view of a certain area on the field. Checking from one side then to the other takes time and in alot of cases you would miss the free saftey lurking or a LB who is drifting in the zone. Good evidence this system is working is the lack of interceptions and the ability of Brunnel to throw it into the stands when there is no one open. NEver give up the sack or try to squeze a throw into 2 man or 3 man coverage (ala Jeff George). He has missed the deep ball a few times but you can see it all developing. Great O system and when you have 2 years under the belt, watch out. But you will not see a Running back Screen.
