I share WaldSkins opinion, but I don't know if I have a particularly great defense for that position. I would argue that being better than Todd Collins is exactly what I would expect from any 1st round pick in his 2nd year, and Brady Quinn is probably a special case in that he was the most complete prospect coming out of college in recent memory.

That, and I think a lot of people (Don Banks included) are tricking themselves into thinking that seeing that 7 good halves of football plus a shaky playoff game means that Todd Collins is a top of the line quarterback. He probably isn't, and he's on film now. We simply don't have any sort of significant sample on Todd Collins other then enough to say that the people (like me) who thought he didn't belong in the NFL were probably wrong.

Banks is making a big guess on Collins' future to rank him No. 1. I really hope we don't have to find out whether last year was for real or not.
