Angry, silestone is a quartz product. We just had Corian countertops put in my kitchen, another quartz product. Yes it is less expensive but it's still not cheap. We went with Corian over granite due to the fact we weren't thrilled with the amount of maintenance needed for granite. Quartz is supposed to be more durable and it's not non-porous unlike other stone products.
