Re: Munching the Redskins Draft: A. Smith, Oher, and Cushing lead

IMO, the best fits for this team at a position of need would be OT Andre Smith, DE Tyson Jackson, and LB Brian Cushing.

Smith is the best player of the three. Tyson Jackson may be the safest pick of the three (solid and versatile but not spectacular). Cushing is the one I have the most concerns about (his injury history and ability in pass coverage are my concerns).

Bottom line: If Andre Smith were to fall to #13, I'd take him. I'd also take Tyson Jackson at #13 if A. Smith wasn't available. I might try to trade down before taking Cushing at #13.

I want to trade down as well, but I wouldn't take Cushing even at #32! The NFLN featured him a lot during the Combine, and he seemed two steps too slow all of the time from game tapes!

Re: Munching the Redskins Draft: A. Smith, Oher, and Cushing lead

I see our biggest needs being ROT, LDE and then SLB! I'd want us to trade back to aquire a later 1st rd pk and a 2nd rd pick! This gives us rd's 1 trough 3 to draft all three needs. If MW is brought back at SLB, and I think it will happen, then I'd see it going 1st...ROT, 2nd...LDE and 3rd...SLB! If MW is not brought back at SLB then I'd see it going 1st...ROT, 2nd...SLB and 3rd...LDE!

If no trade happens then it's ROT in the 1st and either DE or LB in the 3rd, and that is predicated on whether MW comes back!
