Ohalete refuses to give #26 to Portis

jdlea... you are missing the point COMPLETELY.

Ifeante Ohelete is a 2-year STARTER for the Washington Redskins... and 103 tackles and 3 INT's for a safety in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY sucks, no matter what anyone says!!!

MY POINT IS.... NO ONE should EXPECT him to give up the number he likes and HAS EARNED. That's all. Ohelete is no flamboyant, bragadocius, arrogant, or a trash-talker. He let's his play do the talking for him, and that's it. I have never heard a quote from the guy... much less one ripping a teammate or the sorry coaching staff we had last year. Personally, I think that.. and the fact that he is a 3-year veteran of this team, warrants a LITTLE more respect than he is given by most of us.

AGAIN... I am not saying he is great... I am not saying he is in the class of the incredibly awesome, God-like Roy Williams... I am saying, he is a REDKSIN... one with tenure... and if he doesn't want to give up his number, no one should even discuss it.

By the way... You guys realize #81 has NOT been retired yet...

Anyone think Winslow would be allowed to wear it??

Personally, I think we will retire the number this year... and/or at the very least they'll pull that whole "un-officially retired" deal they pulled with Wuerffel wanting #7 (Theismann's number)...
