granted, football is a team sport and there are a multitude of external factors that affect every player at every position, but belichick's offense makes QBs look good. He's a football genius. period. just because he had a defensive background before becoming a head coach, doesnt mean he's not a great offensive coach.

Last I heard, it was Charlie Weis 2000-2004 and Josh McDaniels 2005-2008 who were responsible for the offense at NE. I believe Bill O'Brien called the plays in 2009, but not 100% on that.
