Re: Why Did We Draft Fred Davis?
Those drops were on McNabb, both passes were really high.. I'm a huge 5 fan but that wasn't Davis fault

Did the fact that outside of the 1st round of the 2008 draft, practically all the OL selected were scrubs did not enter your brain? Oh hell, I believe that we could have stayed in the 1st and drafted Baker, but I'll bet that 99% of the fans would have been screaming for Vinny's head because we "already had Jansen and Samuels".

Re: Why Did We Draft Fred Davis?
Thanks for calling me a moron.
I completely understand the concept of uncertainty. That is what my whole comment about ignoring those positions was about. They waited until they needed a home run and rather than spreading out the odds, put all of their eggs in one basket in 08 for WR, and if god forbid Williams doesn't pan out then that will be a costly mistake. As far as the sins of our old regime, they are well documented. For your blood pressure's sake I will end there.

We could have had Chris Johnson, Sam Baker, or Rashard Mendenhall had we stayed in the first round. We just simply missed out on playmakers. Yeah, CP was here, but we would have had no need to commit more picks to RBs in the next 5 years at the very least.
