HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That Oline is going to end romos career this year. You heard it here folks. Romo will not start next year for the cowgirls. They trade us Dez Bryant for John Beck in the offseason, hahahaha!

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

I hate to bring unfounded optimism to the table, but did any of you guys notice that the Redskins gave up a GRAND total of 0 points in the first quarter this preseason? Pittsburgh....the Ravens....the Colts.....these are not terrible teams! Yes, the first quarter of preseason is a good indicator of how far along you are. Anyone remember how we use to look very bad in the first quarter of preseason, only to come back later and win in the 4th? [Spurrier] That was a very bad omen, and a good look into how we really stacked up against the competition. How about under Marty? We looked flat and discombobulated. [can't believe I spelled that word correctly!]

I didn't see LL on the field....anywhere. I saw Reed Doughty all over the place and filling in more than adequately as a replacement, though. I saw lots of pressure - QB's running for there lives. I saw Swarming LB's and a D-line that pushed people around like it was closing time.

Having Landry would be nice....we don't HAVE to have him though, you have that luxury when you have a good, young, DEEP team.

The back of our D is very much a ball hawk unit now, so I agree 2+ Ints for Eli is likely, and won't start their year off very well. I also expect we will be trying to flank or short pass over their DLine, which is the main strength at this point.

If we don't win, it will be because of our mental mistakes more than the NYG outplaying us. And I don't expect many mental mistakes from the starters at this point.
Hopefully Eli will have such a horid game it throws the rest of the season off track with the other problems they have going on. Having Landry out won't hurt our "ball hawk secondary" just our run def. I think.

Any time, any place, is a good time & place to randomly rag on the Cowboys. Just to be clear: COWBOYS SUCK COWBOYS SUCK COWBOYS SUCK!!!

Try it, you'll see just how much fun it is!

I don't know brother...to me it still seems like yesterday, and I hope it always does.

I can see the guys on the field getting extra pumped, a little extra adrenaline flowing than usual on Sunday - both sides.

Surely that doesn't make them unprofessional.

I bet pretty much every player can tell you where they were that day. Throw in the first game jitters, the "Yay America!!" hype, I bet both sides are pumped.

Shanahan's second year with Bronco's

His team led the league in rushing. 2,362 yds

They were 4th in scoring. 391 points

They were 13-3.

They were 4th in total offence. 5,791 yds.

The year before> [1995] they were 8-8.

It's not a stretch to seeing us doing well this week!

His team also had John Elway, not Rex Grossman. There's a little difference between the two wouldn't you say?

Did John Elway run the football?

He was good this year, but not his best season. It was the running, that got them the SB.
