Re: Rodgers talks about redskins organization
for ****'s sake, Carlos' last name is spelled R-O-G-E-R-S. It's not hard.

Re: Rodgers talks about redskins organization
Be interesting to see what the Redskins think he might be worth given what they have as their CBs...

Re: Rodgers talks about redskins organization
I think they already have....WTF...we don't even spell his name right. How much can he really matter?

Re: Rodgers talks about redskins organization
I'm glad Rogers is gone. If he ever played another game for the Redskins, he wouldn't be able to hang on to interceptions anyway.

This kills me....why when do "our" players leave they all say the same thing, yet its the players that are the issue? He is speaking the truth.. For years this organization has let our players leave, thinking the grass was greener by signing other teams players. It creates a horrible locker room, no loyalty by the younger players because they are looking out to see who we are going to sign next year, no matter how well you play. I mean look at Antonio Pierce, Ryan Clark to name a couple. THose guys played their asses off and what did it get them? Sent packing. So they went to better organizations and won some super bowls. Carlos is just one of the many that have left and said what was really or is really going on in that building. Look at how well he is playing now in SF. Do you think that maybe he was a little distracted by all the crap in Ashburn? I think the guy was a good cover guy, couldn't catch, but the recievers didn't catch the ball either. I wouldn't mind having him here right now. I think him and Hall made a better combination than Hall and Wilson. |

I believe someone on here (not this thread) that Carlos's cover numbers were far better than Halls. Also, would I rather a consistant cover corner that keeps receivers in check throughout the game, maybe not getting a pick, but makes solid tackles and isn't afraid of contact? Or a cover guy that does a good job at covering, but takes too many gambles and costs us big plays, sometimes TD's and avoids contact sometimes. I'll take the consistant cover CB over a guy that gives up 1 or 2 big plays everygame. Honestly, I have not been impressed with hall this year. He plays way off the receivers when we bring blitzes which becomes easy pitch and catch for the QB and WR, I just dont get it. He does a poor job at tackling and talks too damn much. |

Letting Brad Johnson go - went on to win a superbowl in Tampa, for George?? Steven Davis - Played in a Superbowl with Carolina - for Trung Candidate?? Chris Clemons - although wasn't a star, he is having some solid years in Seattle. I thought he was a spot starter, good depth, but we let him go I am sure there are others, but this organization has shown its disregard for developing young talent, then allowing them to leave or trade them away in some cases for what is perceived to be better players drafted by other teams. Hell, Brian Mitchell is one of the best cases for this. We let him go to sign that guy from the Jets...Chad something or another. And B Mitch went on to have some solid years in Philly and NY. THis has been a trend for a long time. And every single one of those players mentioned all said the same thing in a variety of ways. |

Understand that you keep players by PAYING players. We are buying a service from them. We paid Samuels, Jansen, even Lavar, etc because they did very substantial things before their contract year. Carlos did not do enough and didn't even bother to get contracts. So, Hall doesn't deserve his contract. Now we should make the same mistake again to Carlos simply because we made it once? No, Shanahan and Allen should NOT repeat the goddamn overpay Vinny gave Hall simply because it is "fair" to Carlos Rogers. Who goes out and says, "give me a raise first, then I'll do better"? It doesn't work that way most of the time. You gotta earn that raise. We would be competing for having the most awful 19 million dollar pair of starting cornerbacks.

And Dockery came back. But anyway, Carlos wants to feel hurt that's fine. Welcome to the world of modern day pro sports
