I don't understand how people try to make the injury excuse, unless it's your franchise QB. The Packers SB season was discussed far and wide precisely because they had sooooo many injured players.
Big difference is those teams had an established base of starters and depth, not a Frankenroster that we've got. We have players from Gibbs, Zorn and Shanahan eras with influence from Snyder, Cerrato and Bruce Allen.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

People go on and one about the Packers like that's something to expect from every injured team. What the Packers did in their SB season was pretty amazing and it'll probably not happen for some time. That's like saying that the Ravens won with Trent Dilfer, therefore every other team is grossly overstating the need for a big time QB.

The Packers SB winning team, like the Ravens with Dilfer are the exception, not the rule.

Dont forget about the Giants last year. Read the article i posted. Its all there in black n white. And AGAIN nobody is expecting a damn superbowl but how about a team that can at least be competitive against a 1-6 team! The score yesterday is not even close to what happened on the field. OUR FIELD!

2 times out of 100 years isn't bad.. Don't know why the Redskins are not doing it now with those odds.

I wonder how many of those injury riddled teams had a rookie QB/RB and -50 billion in cap space.

The Giants were mostly healthy by the time the playoffs rolled around.

The article you posted is from 9/10/11.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

Give him this season and next season, and if we don't win at least 7 games next year or are the best 6-10 team of all times then you think about getting another coach (think, not necessarily pull the trigger). We got RGIII and Alfmo, need to get Garcon and Davis back healthy (Really hope we resign davis). And most importantly fix the secondary and Orakpo's chest muscles! No one in our secondary that has started a game for us should be starting next year.

I know it was but you will see they lost three defensive starters(at least) for the year. Also i pointed out the fact that they were mostly healthy for the run in the playoffs in another post. They still had to make it to that point and fight through the injuries to get to that point. We are a far cry from "getting" to that point. Our injuries are less than theirs were and we have crumbled. No way we will be 7-7 - and in the nfc rite now that would have us in contention for the second wildcard probably.
