Re: Who are the Coach Killers?
Quote:
Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Peyton, Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees. No one calls these guys winners. Okay Brady near the start of his career but soon after that he was able to impose his will on any defense after which he went from being a winner to elite quarterback. Right now the "winners" at QB are as follows: Cam Newton - "He's won everywhere he's been....except the NFL but thats not his fault." Tim Tebow - "He just wins".....yeah but thats only if he has an elite defense that can keep the game close enough for him to put up the 14th or 17th point on the board. Broncos 23rd in total offense for 2011, 5th in 2012. Mark Sanchez - Alright he stepped his game up in the playoffs as a rookie and a sophmore but ironically being able to perform in the playoffs means nothing if you can't even get there.......weird problem to have. Michael Vick - For years could not pass to save his life and when he was on the street as a free agent people tried to lobby for him saying he was a winner. Ironically when he was an MVP candidate with the Eagles the winner label got dropped in favor of him being called an elite QB. I don't know maybe it's just me but when I hear someone call a player a "winner" I feel like someones trying to sell me on a girl by saying "well, she has a great personalty." lol
