Re: How bad is our defense?

When is Rogers going to catch a damn ball. I have never in my life seen a corner consistently drop so many passes that have hit right in the damn mits!

It's getting old, week after week!

Had he caught that the tempo, attitude, gameplan of both teams, and mometum would have been in our favor. Way to rise to the occasion Redskins.
Typical fashion has returned of not seizing the moment to put ourselves in better places to win.

It's hard to find any positives I know, but how about Taylor stripping Tiki of the ball trying to make something happen? He did his part there, if a teammate jumps on that ball it's a whole other ballgame

2nd time he's done that this season. amazing to watch. sucks we couldn't capitalize in either game. its what happens when you're surrounded by career backups Wright, Rumph and yes Rogers.

Re: How bad is our defense?

You can attack the defense's play all day long, but not many teams win games when they can only muster 3 points on the board. We have all these offensive weapons and that's the best we can do?

Sadly, Brunell reverted to his form of the first two games today. He had at least two passes that should have been picked but were not. And the O-line played poorly too. The only player on "O" who stepped up was Cooley.

The "D" didn't play well either, but they still held one of the league's best offenses to 19 points and 1 TD.

On a lot of days, that should be enough to win. But not when your offense can't do squat.

Today, the Skins didn't play with any fire or passion, unlike last week. Hard to stomach when you're playing an important divisional opponent.

Re: How bad is our defense?

Let us not forget that it was our best defensive player that got burnt down the middle of the field and then again for the td. All around shitty day for all three phases, but this defense is among the leagues worst.

I think his unbreakable habbit thinking he is indestructible and missing tackles, and not even trying to wrapup defenders out weighs a strip any day. Thats like being okay with him helping time to time but more regularly passing the buck off to someone else who more than likely isnt in position to even help and stop. He lacks fundamentals and discipline to have respect in that manner.

Taylor didn't miss any tackles those times, he'd strip them on their way down.

I don't know if "held" is necessarily the right word here. Did they hold or did the Giants O just not get it done in the red zone?

Plus the D gave up a 98 yard drive near the end of the first half that resulted in 3 more points than it should have. And they kicked off the 3rd quarter letting the Giants embark on an 8-minute drive resulting in a TD.

Yeah I think we were lucky to "hold" them to 19. We could have easily lost by alot more. If anyone is feeling good about the D today they need to have their head examined.

Re: How bad is our defense?

The defense couldn't get the Giants off the field, it's true. This is very frustrating to watch, but I can't blame this loss primarily on the defense. If someone had told me that the Giants were only going to score 19 points, I would have been pleasantly surprised and would have assumed we win the game.

In addition, if the offense shows up, I doubt we would have given up that many points. The offensive line is just too damn inconsistent. One week they're great and the next they're the worst in the league. I just don't get it. Who are the leaders of that group. It can't be Jansen because he's the epitome of inconsistency. Plus, he's off to Michigan every chance he gets. Somebody needs to start calling these people out. If we're going to play like this we may as well get Norv Turner back and really do it right.

You can see how the season will go. They'll beat Tenessee and everyone will tell them how great they are. Smiles all around and no preparation. Then they'll lose to Indy and on through to the end. You know what that comes to? 8 and 8. Unacceptable.

With the ball control being even more of a threat to us and ally to them did we threaten or force them to have to be physical, or play without caution or urgency????
Consuming so much time off the clock and driving downfield took more out of us and even FG's were TOO difficult to overcome. We coached ourselves out of the game. In saying that, maybe you all dont agree. But even if the Giants just had a better plan and executed it that would still support that we were outcoached. Every where we tried to go we were met with force and never turned around to disrupt their Offensive dominance as they rammed it up the Skins ASS. They got raped and bullied all day. We are somebodies bitch in this NFC EAST prison SHOWER.

Unacceptable indeed. FUCK THEM. I never would have thought we would try to run so many counters against a team with a solid pair of DE's and 2 LB's. The weak spot was the middle of their DL and getting a blocker on Pierce should have been the point of attack. We acquired TJ who should have been implemented by now to combat and be payback to their defense in the same way Jacobs can take so much fight and energy out of defenses. This game was it. unless the team can finish 11-0,10-1,9-2,8-3 the season is over and the way it is shaping hopefully we save face and make it to 8-8. Will this team should we drop too far out, finally sit Mark down and publicly blame him in this act and invest in Jason ??? I do think all this will come to pass.
