we aren't talking about the same things, your talking more about race and income inequality apparently. If your going to go there answer this major glaring issue: Do you have any explanations for the fact democrats who have run Chicago, philly, DC, Detroit, Baltimore, Cleveland for the last 25 years continue to have zero success? These are the most violent large cities in the country. Also, 8 years of Obama, so you can't blame a republican "#sowhite" federal government. I need to hear your excuses please. Billions of dollars have been spent there to change these circumstances. so don't give me bullshit that nobody has helped. Cost to educate a kid in Baltimore is insane, a lot of federal money has been spent there. So to say taxpayers have turned their back is horseshit Do u think a raise in the minimum wage will stop the violence...lol Like I've stated, poverty pimps are sitting fat in those cities and a lot of this "cycle " you talk about, welp, personal responsibility and knowing right from wrong is a good place to start.

As someone who has worked in the projects, I've seen it first hand. Why am I bringing up the Democratic Party, well it's simple, you listed previously clear left winged ideas and thinking. I'm saying, those cities of the urban blight which you mention violence are all democrat run strongholds for 25-30 years...they never done anything to improve it. So I don't want to hear finger pointing because the blame is clear when it comes down to facts. Education is one key to ending the violence...but it's not the schools only, it's the partnership with the community. Parents have to be a stakeholder, and guess what, it's not nearly as strong as it should be. Again, as someone who worked for vcu and worked with impoverished communities within Richmond and the school system...the kids who are innocent victims from a) system that is inefficient and ineffective and b) family value structure. Schools arent there to raise the kid, that is done at home hence personal responsibility. Being poor isn't a crime. So that's my feeling about violence in impoverished areas...education is the key to squash it. Hope this clears my opinion.
